Part of me feels a little panicked, but I've decided to adopt a mantra I learned while watching a golf documentary... imagine that. Seems like my suffering and hours of boredom at the hands of the Golf Channel may actually pay off.
Sometimes it's better to be decisive than right.
So painted brick it is.
P.S. That's just primer... I think.

It will look great when it is finished. Remember what the brick fireplace looks like in our house after it had been painted.
