Bluff Park Art Show 2011

The Bluff Park Art Show has become one of my very favorite events of the year.  The previous owners of our house were huge supporters of the Bluff Park Art Association, so either I'm just desperate for a story angle, or their spirit has rubbed off on me.  I've heard the house was full of amazing original art, much of which was gifted back to the association by their estate.  I would have loved to have seen it all.

The night before the show, Owen told Scott he wanted to find a snake to hang on his wall.  Lo and behold, Bebo the Folk Artist came through for him.  I think Owen won him over with the super hero shirt.  He even insisted on signing the piece to Owen.

Owen spent the rest of the afternoon wielding the artwork like a weapon.  Scott and I made off well with three purchases too.  I asked Scott to snap that shot of Owen and me heading out with our loot because I thought we looked pretty funny with so much stuff.  But looking at it now, all I see is that rhino art sure makes my hips look wide. ;)

The light in our house is awful, so I went out in my PJs this morning and took pictures in the yard.  Pretentious or just dedicated?

p.s. John will be so excited to see Owen in the Superman shirt again. However, he will not like the snake!

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I love snakes as long as they don't surprise me! Hope you are feeling better and you're back to your old self. I wish you lived closer so that you could come visit every night!

Where is all this going? Do we get to see the after picture of where it landed in your house?!

Jenn- Sending you a gift card to cover the framing. Don't give up on me! I like Target's frames, but do you know of somewhere else you want to go?

Mom- I'm much much better. Should probably slow down on the eating now! And there's a house for sale down the street... :)

Speck- We're going to try to set up a gallery on the upstairs landing. Don't really know what I'm doing though...
