They played the par-3 course at Vestavia.
He's wearing an adult-sized glove on his left hand. The kid is an accessorizer.
This was just a 40-yard hole for Owen, but he made PAR! Not bad for his first round.
As I was watching him play, I felt like I could see the golf bug sinking its teeth into him, and I sent a silent apology out to the little girl who will one day marry him.

Some day she may be thankful he picked up a club at such a young age. He may make a lot of money and she may get to travel a lot with him to places she may have never been able to go. And, just maybe she will pick up on how to play the game and the two of you can go out and play a couple of rounds ever so often. I know how you feel though. Your mother had to deal with me coaching for 18 years and it can get lonely at times. I am sorry, I wish we lived closer. Who knows, some day we may.
